3D Scanning of Yamaha R6 aggregates
We scanned the Yamaha R6 engine for the purposes of constructing competitive formula FormulaStudent BGD team from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The high level of precision and accuracy measures, enabled the team to more easily construct mounts and to provide sufficient clearance engine. The space in the engine is better utilized because the exact dimensions and geometry of the engine in the design stage and enable better planning of other elements without fear of mistakes that could otherwise have been detected only in the stage of preparation and assembly. See the final 3D model with a textured color!
Resolution scene is highly reduced in order to display the web page was available and efficient. As you can see, the high level of detail is still present.
